About Me

I’ve been making maps since before I can remember.   I’m a New York City-based cartographer, GIS analyst and PhD student, currently working at the CUNY Center for Urban Research’s CUNY Mapping Service as a GIS analyst/cartographer. I teach GIS and Geography at CUNY Lehman College, and I’m am a PhD student in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department at the CUNY Graduate Center | CUNY = City University of New York.  I’m also a sucker for commercial aviation and am trying to figure out how to combine my love of cartography, GIS and airplanes.  I’m also obsessed with turquoise water, so to me this (recorded by me!) is pretty much the most incredible place on earth. Here’s one of my first maps ever, at the ripe, young age of 11:
